Notice from Reverend Monsignor William H. Carr, Pastor

Dear Parishioners,

A hearty THANK YOU to Father John Christian for his good work among us these past two years.  Father Christian is a bright and devoted priest who has served well.

On July 1 Father Christian becomes parochial vicar for St. Andrew Parish, Roanoke.  Farewell receptions will be held after Masses on the weekend of June 29 & 30.

On July 1 newly ordained Father Tochi Iwuju will become parochial vicar for our parish.  Father Tochi was ordained on June 1 in Sacred Heart Cathedral after studies at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore and Liberty University in Lynchburg.

On July 1 newly ordained Father Kyle O’Connor will become parochial vicar for our parish until he returns to Rome for further studies in late September.

On June 10 seminarian Dillon Thomas will arrive here for his pastoral year.  Dillon is a student at the Pontifical North American College in Rome.

As I write this it is on my heart to thank you for your prayers  for priests and seminarians and for your generosity that supports our parish rectory.

 Monsignor Carr
