First, thank you for your wonderful support that is making these food drives so successful! This past month for St. Peter Church went very well with your help getting the word out!
Would you please help promote the upcoming Food Drive with your parish groups and teams and families and friends? The Food Drive this month will benefit the food pantry at the Sacred Heart Center and is on Saturday, May 22nd. Please note the earlier finish time at 11:00 am.
Also, we are collecting items for members of the military that are being deployed. I have attached a separate flyer for that (shown below, too).
Please help this to be a success by promoting the food drive in your family, with friends, and St. Bridget groups and networks.

Thanks for helping get the word out about the food drive! Let’s make this the biggest food drive yet!
We are in the midst of Nominations for our officer roles for the coming Year of the Knights!
Are you looking for an opportunity to be a bit more involved in our Council?
Would you like to help set the direction of the Council and service activities that we undertake each year?
Would you enjoy some more camaraderie with your fellow brothers?
We have a couple of positions open in our Council’s leadership team. They are not overly demanding, but are important roles to fill and will provide you with a level of satisfaction of further serving your parish and our Council.
Shoot me an email back as soon as possible, and I will give you a ring to discuss.
Greetings! Just a quick note to let you know we had another successful Food Drive for St. Peter Church’s Food Pantry! In the end we had a good contribution of food, and about $400 in gift cards from Kroger were donated! What a generous parish we have, and what a thankful parish St. Peter’s is for the support we provide!
I want to express the following thanks:
To all the brothers that donated food and gift cards – Thank You!
To all the brothers that helped promote the food drive with your family and friends – Thank You!
To all the brothers that helped at the food drive – Thank You! The brothers included Mike Kozak, Ron Campbell, Doug Lynch, Dan Geary, Bob Fout, and Mike Borzelleca – Thank You!
To our Minister of Donuts, Jay Pierotti, who brought some sustenance in the form of you know what – Thank You!
To Brother Greg Stivers for serving and for the use of his trailer again – Thank You!
To the brothers that donated to the Military Deployment Items collection – Thank You! – we are off to a good start!
Brothers – the next food drive is Saturday, May 22nd. We will be collecting food for Sacred Heart Center, and also will be collecting items for the Deployed Military from our parishioners. Please put this on your calendar and please volunteer to help on that day. I would encourage more brothers to come out and to spend time with your follow Knights!

Rev. Father Iwuji Tochi from St Bridget Catholic Church, Council 5476, receives his 4th degree in the Knights of Columbus during a recent ceremony at the Richmond Assembly. We extend our most sincere congratulations to Fr. Tochi!
Don’t forget to join our Council 5476 team this coming Saturday morning @ 9 a.m for registration at Deep Run Park. The walk officially begins at 10 am. If you can’t join us, please go to our team page and make a pledge to John McCulla, Sean Cox, or me. I’m going to walk right around 9 am with Carol, so even if the time doesn’t fit your schedule, you can sign up and walk the 2 miles on your own. The link is below to get started. Again, please sign up as a walker or, if you’d like to donate, please click on the team page and pledge as part of our Knights of Columbus Council 5476 effort. Thanks for your prayerful consideration.
I have been asked by our friends at St. Bridget school to pass this along.
As you may remember, in “normal” times, the Saint Bridget Athletic Department has held our annual Saint Bridget Golf Tournament. It is the ONLY fundraiser where 100% of the profits will go to sponsor athletics. It is so important!
We are one of the only schools in the area to offer golf, swimming, tennis as well as the more common sports like basketball and cross country. We also are in the process of permanently acquiring the green space at the Westhampton field. This will allow us to offer our students a place to hold field days, class picnics, and other types of events for ALL students, not just those involved in athletics.
I am excited to let you know that the Golf Tournament will once again take place! It will be held on Monday, May 10th at the Richmond Country Club.
PLEASE join us on the day of the event if you can! Foursomes can also be purchased using the attached link. I am so excited that this will be one of the first Saint Bridget School Community events to be held LIVE and IN-PERSON!
Sign up to help three different ways on Saturday, April 24. We are running another Parish Food Drive – always productive and really fun. As part of that, we will be supporting a DeployedMilitaryPersonnelCarePackage Project. We are asking all brothers to bring a care package to the food drive in support of our men and women in uniform. And we are helping the Little Sisters of the Poor with their Mass of Thanksgiving – sign up to help at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0545aea92ba13-little
In addition to our food drive on April 24 at 8:45 to 11:00 AM, we are going to collect items to create care packages for a military unit that will be deployed soon. See the attached flyer for the items that are most requested by our men in women in uniform.
If you are able please help us in this special collection. It can be dropped off at the same time and place as our regular food drive which is being collected to help St. Peters Food pantry.
