Worthy Sir Knights of the Richmond Assembly:
We are on for our next Assembly Meeting on Monday, August 24.
Once again, our friends at Council 395 have graciously agreed to host us at the Columbian Center, so we will have our “in person” meeting at the Columbian Center on Monday, August 24, beginning at 6:30 pm with the Social Meeting.
Several of the new Sir Knights who joined our Assembly at the Virtual Exemplification in June have not yet been formally Knighted. We plan to remedy that at the meeting on August 24, and I would ask that all Sir Knights who have not been Knighted plan to attend the meeting if they can. Because of the formality of the Knighting, I would also request that all Sir Knights wear formal dress – the new uniform if you have it, or a dark suit with social baldric if you do not.
We will also attempt to host a Zoom meeting for the Business Meeting, beginning at 7 pm. The link for that meeting will be sent shortly.
Please advise by phone or via an email to the address below, if you plan to attend the meeting “in person” at the Columbian Center, so that we can set up the meeting chamber appropriately and have the right amount of food for the Social.

Michael T. Shutterly

Subject: Benedictine Outdoor Mass
Mike and Ron,
Could you please help spread the word that there will be no outdoor mass at Benedictine next Sunday, August 23. The indoor 9:00 mass will still take place.
The 9:15 outdoor mass will resume on Sunday, August 30.
Many thanks for your help.
Frank
This past Saturday was a drencher of a rainy, wet day! Despite that, you made the Food and School Items drive for Commonwealth Catholic Charities a great success! We delivered a trailer full of various food and sundries which went a long way to restocking the CCC’s food pantry. And the school supplies – amazing! Wonderful to see so many bags and boxes full of school notebooks, pens, markers, folders, rulers and more! There must have been around 20 backpacks for the kids going back to school – one family donated six! There were numerous gift cards and checks for the CCC.
Gents, thanks for your commitment to this key mission for the Knights – helping to feed the poor. And, for providing service to our parish in its mission to serve those in need in our community.
Many thanks again to Greg Stivers for the use of his trailer which really helps these food drive be successful!
And we thank our parish staff for their support to promote the food drives.
We will be planning the next food drive, and looking at mid to late September.

What can you do?
Please help this to be a success by promoting the food drive in your family, with friends, and other St. Bridget networks.
Here is a general message for your emails:
Thank you for your generous donations to the parish food drives being sponsored by the St. Bridget Knights of Columbus. Not positive about the link, but Carl Anderson’s address to the Supreme Convention is the intent. Looks to be well done.
