RVA French Food Festival 4/27-28/18

RVA French Food Festival

Sign up to Volunteer through your local Council too.
April 27-28 – St Joseph Home

As major supports of the work of the Little Sisters of the Poor, we need as many Knights as possible to help with the Festival this year; especially since we will have a new tent – totally manned by the K of C.  Please go to:

http://littlesistersofthepoor.volunteerhub..com/events/indexv1

to sign up for one or more shifts at the Pomme Fritte tent, either Friday or Saturday.

Use of the volunteer website is needed to have everyone in one spot so we will know what we have to work with on the serving line.  FAMILIES, FRIENDS, and NEIGHBORS are welcome – must be an adult, please.  Also, please let me know if anyone has a physical disability and needs a sitting job.  We will do what we can.

Subject: My Intro: To all my DD, DW and GKs from your new Field Agent Team

Dear Worthies,

This is my first of many correspondents with you.  I thought I would start this first one off with getting to know me and my family as I will get to know yours more through the coming days.  My wife and I left active duty military last month and moved to Richmond from Salt Lake City, UT.  Arielle, my wife, is a pharmacist and is looking for a new job in the Richmond area.  We have a daughter, Mary, who is 16 months old and is the center of our world, as you could imagine.  Working for the Knights has always been on my mind while I was active duty, after my 4th deployment and watching my daughter grow up via skype, I decided it was time for a change and Arielle agreed.  We are looking forward to sowing roots in Richmond and allowing our daughter to grow up in a home town feel.  But that’s enough about me.

As we get to know each other through the upcoming days I would encourage each of you to come by the office, your office, and have a coffee, soda or any drink with me.  I will also be making my way around to visit each of you in your districts/councils.  If you ever need a sponsor or help in anyway please give me a call, I will be here for you.  Richmond is my home now and hopefully you will become our Knights family.

Very Respectfully,

-Nick Abbate
