St. Francis Home 13th annual Blue Grass and Blue Crab Festival

Brothers,

Our KofC Council 5476 is assisting the St. Francis Home by selling tickets to their Blue Grass and Blue Crab Feast. This is very important fundraiser for the Home as they strive to support their operating budget needs. Information about the event is attached.

We need your help to sell tickets sellers after Masses on the weekends shown below. Please volunteer to assist in this important effort. It takes only 10 minutes of time after the Mass you attend. After volunteering, you will receive more information about materials and setup.

Also, please consider attending this event – it is much fun and fellowship for a great cause! If you have specific questions, our Brother Bruce Slough, Executive Director of St. Francis Home, can help. He is copied on this email.

Greetings,

By now, you may have already received the invitation for the 2nd Annual Blue Mass scheduled for September 16, 2017 in honor of all of our First Responders.

I’m sure you have heard, that our city officials are preparing for the potential of similar protests and rallies here locally like those that recently took place in Charlottesville.  Saturday, 9/16 seems to be shaping up to be the possible date they may take place.

With that said, many of Richmond’s Public Safety Personnel will be “all hands on deck,” level, and everyone will be involved in the planning, preparing and execution (alongside all of our public safety partners) in reaction to what may or may not even happen.  While we all hope for the latter, we must remain vigilant and prepared, which I’m sure you can understand.

We are letting you know, that we have also discussed this with Father David Stanfill, Pastor of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Blue Mass scheduled for September 16th is canceled and rescheduled

for Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 5:00PM. We will resend invitations, so please inform any of your rank and file members who would have been attending.

We will resend invitations and we look forward to seeing you then!!!  October 21, 2017 at 5:00PM

This prestigious Mass will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 5:00PM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, located at 3300 “R” Street, Richmond, Virginia 23223, followed by a reception.

We hope that your schedule will allow you to accept this invitation, so that the planning team can start preparing for your participation. Please RSVP to: office@hrccrichmond.org. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via email or by phone: (804) 222-1105 or Oscar Clarke @ otclarke@gmail.com or our program coordinator: Sam Patterson @ sam.patterson@richmondgov.com or pattersonsp3@gmail.com.
