Dale’s Update Status from John McCulla

Good morning Rick and Brothers,

I visited Dale yesterday morning and brought him communion.  Dale was in good spirits and resting well.  He was encouraged by the doctors’ report to him of the procedure performed on Monday, but said he may have another procedure today/tomorrow (uncertain).

Monsignor Carr came in and gave Dale his blessing after a short visit.  He is buoyed up by knowing the St. Bridget and KofC community have them in his prayers.

Dale was open to additional visitors if you wish to see him.  I would suggest calling to ensure he is able to see visitors.  The phone number is 828-9000, and ask for the Coronary Intensive Care unit in the Critical Care Hospital.  He is in room 114 of that unit. No phone in the room, but the nurses should be able to let you know if a visit is possible.  Parking deck is on 12th, east of Clay Street.

Prayers for Dale.

Best,

John

Be a Part of the 44th March for Life

“I ask every Knight that can make it to Washington, D.C., for this event — which is a true witness to the devotion we and so many others hold to support a culture of life — to please do so.”

— Supreme Knight Carl Anderson

cropped-knights-of-columbus-banner.jpg

Dear brother Knight,

In two weeks, on Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, the national March for Life will be held in Washington, D.C.

If you haven’t yet decided whether to attend the march, we invite you to join us. Your presence won’t go unnoticed. The power of one person, when added to that of thousands of others, can help to make the culture of life message be heard across the nation. Check out the details of the event here and ask your council officers about how to join a group traveling from your area.

If you can’t make it all the way to D.C., check out what pro-life events will be happening in your area. Click here for details.

As you make these plans, follow the action on our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts. We’ll be featuring live coverage of the vigil, rally and march itself, which you can follow via the official Knights of Columbus hashtag, #KofC.

Please share these details with everyone in your community. Hope to see you all there!

It’s chili time 2017!

Dear Brother Knights.

You know it!  It’s chili time 2017!

As always we appreciate your time and help on this project. Thanks to all who helped last year; we hope you can do the same this year.

Please see below for available slots and times for pre-sales after mass and the tentative schedule for the “cooking” and delivery days (Feb. 4-5).  We hope to start pre-sales this coming weekend.  The Superbowl is on 5 February this year (in case you were wondering).  But remember as always, please no off-track betting…

Let us know if you can volunteer after mass (we probably just need one Knight after each mass, 10-15 minutes to take pre-orders, cash and check only, $8.00 for 1 quart, $15 for 2 quarts).  The table will be set up in the Commons as last year.

Let me know if you have any questions or need more information.

Sincerely, Jose Alcaine and Bart Leahey, Co-Chairs, 2017 Operation Chili-Bowl
