Support the East End Pregnancy Test and Help Center

american Family on hillGood afternoon!

My name is Lori-Ann Miller and I am a parishioner at Saint Bridget’s Catholic Church. I am helping to spread the word about an amazing opportunity to support the East End Pregnancy Test and Help Center located in the East End of Richmond.

The pregnancy center provides prolife counseling to women as well as material assistance such as clothing, diapers, baby gear etc. The purpose of the walk is to spread the word in the community about the services the center provides. I was wondering if you could please help us spread the word to the members of the Knights of Columbus at Saint Bridget’s? Here is a link to the center’s site for more information about it:

The following are the Walk4life details:

The East End Pregnancy Test and Help Center would like to invite you to participate in our first Walk for Life. Join us for a non-competitive 1.5 mile walk and family-friendly picnic celebration. To be held June 27th, 9:00 am, gathering at Patrick Henry Park.

For more information or to register online, please visit or contact Mary Ann Copetillo at, I have also attached a flyer with further details and pray that you and members of the Knights of Columbus can join us on Saturday, June 27.

Thank you in advance for your time! We hope to see you on Saturday, June 27!

God Bless,

Lori-Ann Miller

Prayer Request for Fr. Adrian

Subject: Prayer Request for Fr. Adrian

May 14, 2015

Dear Benedictine Family,

Early this morning our beloved priest, Father Adrian, fell and fractured his C6 vertebra. He is resting in stable condition at St. Mary’s Hospital and will have surgery this evening. We ask that you give him time to rest for now, we will update you when he is able to welcome visitors and phone calls.  In the charity of your prayers, please pray for Father’s speedy and complete recovery.  Let us also pray for the doctors caring for him, his family, and his brother monks.

O Almighty God, giver of health and healing, grant to Fr. Adrian such a sense of your presence that he may have perfect trust in you.  In all of his sufferings may he cast his care upon you, so that, enfolded in your love and power, he may receive health and salvation according to your gracious will. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved; for Thou art my praise—Jer. 17:14

Update on Fr. Adrian from Deacon Robert Giovenco. May 15, 2015 – 9:51 AM

Father Adrian came through the surgery well and is in good spirits. He probably cannot receive visitors at this time, so let’s honor his wishes.

Dear Saint Gertrude Community,

Sophomore Mason Patton’s father passed away last night. The family has asked for privacy at this time. The best thing we can offer them is our prayers. When arrangements have been made and we know what the family needs, we will pass this on to you.
Some of your daughters heard this news today at school and need your support and love to see them through this. Sister Mary and our guidance counselors have spoken with students who were upset after hearing the news and prayed with them. I know you all join us in prayer and understanding for the family.

Food Bag Distribution this Weekend

We have loads of new grocery bags in the back left hand closet for our distribution this weekend.  Last month we had less than 100 bags collected, so if we could have 2 Knights at each Mass we could probably get that up to the normal 130-150.  Thanks in advance.

You know the drill…please contact me with any questions.  I’ll be at the 9:00 on Sunday.

God Bless.

And, heartfelt thanks to the Knights who contributed to the Walk for Life to benefit the Pregnancy Resource Center last Saturday.  Carol and I raised $840 for that very great cause.  Thanks again.
