recently enacted abortion center regulations

Your Support is Needed

Several weeks ago, the Governor announced he was directing the Board of Health to review the recently enacted abortion center regulations. At that time, the Virginia Bishops issued a statement expressing concern that the review’s aim would be to weaken the commonsense health and safety requirements designed to keep women safe. The Board of Health meets this Thursday, June 5. While the abortion center regulations may not be a topic on the agenda, you are invited to attend to show support for the regulations. We are asking you to join us there and also to consider testifying.  Regardless of your ability to attend the meeting, please continue to pray for unborn children and for women who tragically turn to abortion centers.

Virginia Board of Health Meeting
When: June 5, 9:00 AM (Please arrive at least an hour early as seating is limited.)
Where: 9960 Mayland Drive, Richmond, Virginia 23233- Board Room 2

On Monday, June 16th, the Board of Health will begin accepting online public comments about the effectiveness of the abortion center regulations. We will e-mail you at that time regarding how to submit comments. During routine announced inspections independent health department inspectors have uncovered hundreds of health and safety violations in Virginia’s abortion centers. The abortion industry is unable to self-regulate; your voice is vital to maintaining these essential regulations.
