Subject: Commonwealth Catholic Charities Raffle – Can You Help?

United partnership

[SPOILER ALERT: This email contains a fund raising pitch for a good cause!]

Friends,

This is a fund raising appeal on behalf of Commonwealth Catholic Charities. A raffle will be conducted next Tuesday, May 28 for a number of very nice prizes (see attached file for more information about the raffle.) 100% of the proceeds from the raffle will be used for food to stock CCC’s food pantry. CCC distributes food from the pantry to families in need in the central Virginia area.

If you would like to support CCC’s Food Pantry please let me know how many tickets you would like to purchase. Tickets are $10 apiece. You can either send me a check made out to Commonwealth Catholic Charities or call me and provide credit card information which CCC will use to pay for your tickets.

CCC is the second largest human service provider behind only the Red Cross. CCC helps the most vulnerable individuals and families in central and southwestern Virginia by providing crisis support as well as services to strengthen families and nurture children. The mission of CCC is NOT Catholics Serving Catholics. Its mission is to provide quality, compassionate human services to ALL people – especially the most vulnerable – regardless of faith. Only 15% of the CCC workforce is Catholic and less than 10% of recipients of CCC services are Catholic.

Thanks in advance for considering this opportunity to support a worthy cause!

Best,

Paul
